Dave Stewart announces the launch of the new musical feature film Ebony McQueen, featuring top international talent, songs by Dave Stewart, and a musical score from Stewart & BAFTA, GRAMMY, and Academy Award winning superstar A.R. Rahman.

Set in Stewart’s hometown of Sunderland, UK, the musical film will feature British, South Asian, and American talent in period Northeast England. The film will be shot on location in Sunderland, which has recently been given the greenlight to build one of the
biggest film studios in Europe.

Grammy award-winning soul sensation Joss Stone is set to release her new single, “Loving You,” an original song co-written by Stone and acclaimed engineer/producer and long time collaborator Steve Greenwell. The track is her first solo single in 2 years, and the latest rendition featuring multi-million selling artist Shaggy, is set for release on September 6th 2024, via Stoned Records.

KT Tunstall has released a Christmas single, ‘Hey, Mr Santa!’. The festive track is written by KT and Hollywood Composer Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Bad Moms, Pitch Perfect 3) and delivers an anti-materialistic Christmas message laced with a touch of subversive humour and is accompanied by a lyrics video.

DWL takes your privacy seriously. DWL is a music focused PR and management company of more than 20 years standing. We liaise with media outlets and individuals working in the media and entertainment business, including freelance journalists, regarding our clients. From time to time we request, collect and store their contact details: email addresses, postal address and sometimes phone numbers, for the purposes of keeping them up to date with record releases and news about artists that may be of interest to them. We do our utmost to keep these communications relevant to recipients and do not share data with any third parties, nor do we use cookies. DWL’s Director Dave Woolf has been involved in music PR since the early 90’s. He has worked with many acts including directing press and publicity for seven albums by the 25 million selling Jamiroquai, award winning soul singer songwriter Beverley Knight (managing her for over two decades as well as looking after her PR for all of her albums to date, for which he won PR of the year at the Music Week Awards in the 2000’s), and multi million selling Best Female Brit award winners Joss Stone and KT Tunstall, who he has worked with since their respective debut albums through to the present day. Also on the roster is award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart. As well as helping launch the careers of all these artists, he has also worked with legendary international artists including Prince, Janet Jackson and David Bowie. Woolf has worked with an array of exciting British talent both established and new, from Courtney Pine to Seth Lakeman, cult Zero 7 vocalist Sia, Asian cross over star Jay Sean, UK DJ legend Trevor Nelson, songwriter/artist Amanda Ghost and Mercury nominated former Tricky collaborator Martina Topley-Bird, among many others.

Through his career, Dave has handled public relations for a broad-based range of music artists. In his four years with Poole Edwards PR (which later morphed into the current Outside Organisation) he spent the latter two as the company’s Director of Music, shaping the artist roster and maximising the media potential of the clients. With over 25 years experience in the music industry, Woolf has garnered an expert knowledge of the UK print media as well as working with radio, TV and press throughout Europe, handling PR on two European tours with Prince. He has also worked closely with David Bowie, organising the first interviews around his interests in fine arts, the internet and mixed media as well as going on the road as publicist for Bowie’s mid 90s ‘Outside’ tour.

Woolf has run his own independent company, DWL, since 1996. DWL has always placed total emphasis on artist development and longevity and on being ‘music and artist lead’.

Dave Woolf has garnered many accolades in overseeing the extraordinary career of UK soul artist Beverley Knight, co- managing her since 1996, and guiding every aspect of her career, including co-executive producing 1998’s Mobo winning gold album ‘Prodigal Sista’ and each of her albums up to, and including, 2016’s Soulsville, and BK25 – a live album, released in 2019 to celebrate 25 years in the business. He co-ordinated both the making of and publicity campaigns around all of her Top 10 albums, including: 2002’s Mercury nominated ‘Who I Am’, 2004’s ‘Affirmation’, 2006’s platinum selling “Voice” , as well as 2007’s highly acclaimed ‘Music City Soul’ album, 2009’s ‘100%’, 2011’s ‘Soul UK’, and 2016’s ‘Soulsville’. He also masterminded her highly successful transformation into award winning Musical Theatre star, with Knight conquering the west end with Olivier nominated roles in hit musicals The Bodyguard, Memphis, and Cats, and releasing silver certified ‘Songs from The Stage’ as part of the ‘Leading Ladies‘ musical theatre ‘supergroup’. More recent stage productions Woolf has secured for Knight include Sylvia at the Old Vic in 2018 and Olivier Nominated new musical The Drifters Girl.

Dave has looked after the PR for Joss Stone and KT Tunstall since the beginning of their respective careers, and is currently working with legendary Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart.
